Chatting in the night
Hand in hand with my shadow I sit
Under a bright full moon
Propped against each other
Longingly contemplating nothingness.
There is a deep silence
I almost hear the stars’ twinkle ...
Only that my shadow begins
To move together with them.
And she whispers her thoughts:
Questioning:"tell me what do you want?
I always followed you quiet,
Since you have been a child.
If it was well, as if it was bad
I waited for a little light
And I turned around you
From nothingness, out of nowhere.
And I tried to get you
And via you to gather
The world peace in a thread
From light, to delight
My body next to yours
Sometimes one side or the other
You in the light, but myself
A bit behind you, so that's my fate.
So what do you want? Tell me now
What did you find on the path of life
That you did not like? If you want, you can
Change a lot your life chance.
When you are cheerful, happy,
I feel I have a reason to live
Even if I'm black, a shadow place
Long coveted by mysteries...”
But the thought suddenly breaks –
The silence immediately hides
In a sad cry under the stars:
Joyful shouts of the owls!
Me and my shadow, hand in hand,
Are sitting under bright full moon
Weaving past with nice stars
Into a tomorrow of my life.
