PHYSICS and I
translated by Daniel Tomozeiu
A moment of sincerity
Instead of simple goodbye
It would help us further
To have to a little chat.
I loved you from day one
When I met you at school
And chose you as my way
Without much reflection.
Served with mind and spirit
I gave you my whole life
And now, when it's almost over,
Are you ignoring me?
No, I don't regret my love
Pledge to get to know you a little,
The ununderstood law of nature
Small parts of truth to find out.
You gave me hope through successes
That I had when younger I was -
You gave me courage and deep feelings
That I can do more by knowing more.
But the wind brings, like a storm,
A southerly breeze around me
A flower withers in the pot
And I’m losing my courage, too.
Without boldness I am as dead
On the pedestal of science -
I still carry you in my mind
But I don't know where I'm going.
A moment of sincerity
It would be a sublime gesture
It would help us a bit further
To love each other a little more.
